Reddam Bedfordview High School

At Reddam House we pursue standards of excellence and instil in our students a sense of pride, responsibility, honesty and integrity. The excellent standards we maintain in developing young lives is our investment in the future as we believe that education is the catalyst for personal growth, development and achievement - the ripple effect of which will last a lifetime. Reddam's academic curriculum is developed within the guidelines of the Independent Examination Board (IEB) while adequately complying with the requirements of the Gauteng Education Department (GED). It is designed to offer an exposure to a wide range of subjects, developing the full variety of skills vital for a holistic approach to education.

Reddam House provides an education that focuses on developing individuals who are capable of showing initiative, discovering their own strengths and talents and pursuing their own dreams. Creative arts and sport feature strongly in a Reddam House education. Students are encouraged to participate in these activities on both competitive and non-competitive levels. We recognise the importance of discipline in the educational environment and actively promote self-discipline. Both teachers and students are treated with respect and dignity. Our objective is to equip young people with the tools they need to succeed. Our aim is to create a stimulating and nurturing environment in which each child has the opportunity to develop to his or her full potential while promoting self-motivation and independence. Leadership skills are identified and developed in all students.

Reddam House is committed to excellence, as we believe that we have a responsibility to develop young South Africans who are proud of their education, their culture and their country. We look upon the ripple of excellence in education as our investment in the future as we believe that education is the catalyst for personal growth, development and achievement. Our finest, hand-picked educators ensure that we maximize the potential of the individual learner, preparing them with academic, cultural, sporting, and life-skills, all enabling them to give back - to themselves, their families, their peers and their wider community. We instil a sense of pride, responsibility, honesty and integrity in young lives, and we believe that such education is the catalyst for personal development and achievement.
